MELBOURNE – Audrey Tennessee Cook Rose, 94, of Melbourne died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at Melbourne.
Born Jan. 20, 1909, at Melbourne, she was the daughter of Jefferson Henry Cook and Minnie Ora Bursey Cook. She was a clerk for Millers Store, a salesperson for MFA Insurance and worked at the Melbourne School lunchroom. She was a longtime member of Melbourne First Baptist Church, Extension Homemakers Club and 4-H.
Survivors include a son, Lloyd Rose of Benton, La.; a daughter, Virginia Finley of Traskwood; a brother, Woodrow Cook of Forty-Four; a sister, Ouida Lovelady of Melbourne; nine grandchildren, Greg Finley, Tim Finley, Julie Rains, Terry Brown, Bobby Brown, Beverly Bonner, Tina Watson, Pam Chandler and Rosanne Crobo; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Lloyd Rose; two daughters, Mary Coultas and Louise Brown; three sisters, Wanda Carolyn, Ruth Knapp and Nona Kerr; and two brothers, Boyce Cook and Wilson Cook.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Melbourne First Baptist Church with Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Melbourne Cemetery with arrangements by Eddie’s Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Pallbearers will be Terry Williams, Vernon Lovelady, Noel Jeffery, Rex Tate, Junior Engles and Mike Foster.
