Hubert Doyal Hampton, 71, Fifty Six entered into rest on November 22, 2007 in Little Rock.
Hubert was born June 11, 1936 in Lurton, Arkansas to Marvin and Edna (Adams) Hampton.
He was a member of Fifty Six Missionary Baptist Church, a member of the Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years, and on the Advisory Board of the Stone County Hospital for twenty years. He was an owner and operator of a country store. He was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and brother-in-law.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years since August 19th, Betty Shipman Hampton, three sisters, Bernice Freeman of Blue Springs, Mo., Inez and her husband Archie Villines of Grain Valley, Mo., and Vivian and her husband Roosevelt Reddell of Blue Springs, Mo., a half sister, Johnetta Pogue of Mountain View and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Edna Hampton, brothers, Herbert Hampton, Homer Hampton and Hariol Hampton and his step-mother, Ruby ‘Pebble’ Hampton.
Visitation is 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2007 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View.
Funeral service is 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Fifty Six Missionary Baptist Church, Fifty Six, Arkansas with Bro. Robb Arnold, Dr. Terry Sutterfield and Bro. Frank Sutterfield.
Music presented by Kathy Sutterfield, Lisa Farrier, Pat Balentine and Johnathan Arnold.
Interment is in Fifty Six Cemetery, Fifty Six, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Bruce Shipman, Robert Solomon, David Shipman, Chris Hampton, Mike Cartwright, Kevin Cartwright, Darrell Freeman and Tim Hudspeth.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Ron Simpson, Dr. Terry Sutterfield, Gene Kendrick, Ronnie Anderson and Alan Pogue.
