Tom Walter Guthrie, age 84, of Melboune, AR, died at the Calico Rock Medical Center, Thursday, March 27, 1975. He was retired, a Methodist, and was a resident of Izard County all his life. Suvivors include his wife, Laura Maude Guthrie of Melboune, three sons; Johnny Guthrie and William E. Guthrie of Melbourne, and Bobby Guthrie of Tuckerman, Ar; four daughters, Valrie Blum of Florida, Fay Peckham of Michigan, Shirley Hill and Betty McCollum of Melbourne. One sister, Gus Guthrie of Melbourne, Ar. Funeral service was conducted at Howard's Funeral Chapel at 2 o'clock, Sunday, March 30 with Brother James Wingo officiating. Burial was in the Cemetery at Melbourne, under the arragements of Howard's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Sid Black, Son Lamb, Fred Blankenship, John Copeland, Neal Russell and Don W. Watson.

Laura Maude Guthrie, age 85, of Melbourne died August 27, 1987 at the Pioneer Nursing Home in Melbourne.
She was a housewife and a member of the Melbourne United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Guthrie, and her parents, William N. and Sarah C. (Jackson) Tomlinson.
Survivors include three sons; John Guthrie of Batesville, Bill and Bob Guthrie of Melbourne, and four daughters: Valree Blum and Faye Peckham of Detroit, Michigan; Shirley Hill and Betty McCollum of Melbourne; one brother, Waldon Tomlinson of Melbourne; one sister, Pearl Tomlinson of Salem; 18 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
Burial was at Melbourne Cemetery.
