Mrs Davis Dies at Melbourne Monday
Mrs Lex Bynum Davis, aged 83 died at her home at Melbourne Monday morning, following a brief illness. Last month Mrs Davis and her husband, R. K. Davis celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. She was a Methodist.
She is survived by five sons, R. E. Davis of Muskogee, Okla., Ray E. Davis of Washington, D. C., R. K. Davis, Jr., of Melbourne, Gulley Davis of Russellville, and R. L. Davis of Muskogee, Okla.; three daughters, Mrs Fred S. Witty, Tucumcari, New Mexico, Mrs D. Bollinger, Salem, Ark., and Mrs R. L. Blair, Melbourne. (5 sons but 6 listed)
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Melbourne Methodist Church by Rev L. D. Whitehurst. Burial was in the Melbourne Cemetery.
