LITTRELL, Ruth Bell SETSER - Ruth Bell Setser, second daughter of Rev. and Mrs. G.W. Setser, was born September 30, 1883 near Gravette, Ark. and went to live with Jesus at 8 o'clock Monday morning, June 21, 1926, age 42 years, 8 months and 21 days. On November 12, 1899 she was united in marriage to J.H. Littrell and to this happy union was born 9 children, 6 boys and 3 girls, 3 boys dying in infancy. She spent her entire life in Benton County with the exception of a few years in Texas when a small child and two years in Springdale, the family moving there in 1912. For the past 12 years the family has lived on a sheep and goat ranch near the little place of Robinson. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Oscar Anglin, assisted by her father, Rev. G.W. Setser, were held at the Yell cemetery south of Robinson late Monday afternoon between 6 and 7 o'clock, interment being made in that cemetery. Those left are a devoted companion, three boys, Sam, Morris and Doyle, three girls, Lillian, Edna of Dripping Springs, Murial; her father, Rev. G.W. Setser, three brothers, Monroe L. Setser of Southwest City; Elbert and Dea of Tulsa; four sisters, Mrs. Elmer Wayt of Decatur, Ark., Mrs. John Crawford of Cyril, Okla., Mrs. Frank Strickland and Mrs. George Curtis of Sallisaw, Okla. Also a number of other relatives and a host of friends. In 1900 she was converted while at home, baptized by Rev. J.W. Head and united with the M.E. Church, South. Slowly but surely her disease, sugar diabetes, crept upon her. All that human hands could do was done for her and the untiring efforts of her physician, Dr. J.L. Smiley, have been more than appreciated. Nothing too good but nothing good enough could be said of my Angel Mother, for she was an exponent of goodness in everything. Her daughter, Lillian Littrell.
