Vera Berthel Shannon 90, of Clinton, Arkansas went to be with her Lord Monday, September 20, 2010. She was born July 5, 1920 at Clinton, Arkansas to the late Claude and Lilly (Griggs) Horton.
She served as pianist and later organist at First Baptist Church for over 50years. She retired from the Johnson Insurance Agency.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Troy Shannon.
She is survived by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Casketbearers: Danny Shannon, Jack F. Whillock, Duane Shannon, Dean McKnight, Regan McKnight, and Mark Shannon.
Honorary Casketbearers: Jack Whillock, Larry Shannon, Doug Maulden, and Clell Watts.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, September 22, 2010 and Funeral Service will be 2:00pm Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Hunter Hill Cemetery Clinton, Arkansas
