This cemetery was relocted when the Greers Ferry Lake was under construction. The Huie Cemetery is across the road.
*In chapter IV of the Cemeteries of Van Buren Co.,AR published by the Van Buren County Historical Society (1993) There are maps (provided by the core of Engineers) of the graves from the following cemeteries that were moved because they would be underwater after the Greers Ferry Dam was built at Heber Springs,AR in 1960: Old Hill,Johnson,Hunter,Christopher,Smith,Fannin, and Hill. There are names listed of the know persons buried in each cemetery. The names in this cemetery book are listed by rows rather than in alphabetical order. In the newer versions, there is an index printed in the back. In the older version, the index was printed seperately.
