Chester Glendolan Harp

Chester Glen Harp, 70, of Marble Hill, Missouri, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in Cape Girardeau.

He was born in New Madrid, Missouri on June 21, 1939 and was the son of Lester Bee and Thelma Louise (Latiker) Harp.

Chester was an automobile salesman and attended the First General Baptist Church in Jackson, Missouri.

He is survived by two sons: Glen Wayne Harp of Marble Hill and Rodger Paul Harp and his wife, Patricia of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Ruby Jean Sweet and her husband, Rusty of San Jose, California; two grandchildren: Raymond Harp and Daniel Harp; two sisters: Connie Ann Johnson and her husband, James of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas and Mayrene Simpson and her husband, Raymond also of Mount Pleasant; and one half-sister, Gean Albrecht of St. Louis.

Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by one half-brother, Doyle Harp.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Harp, Daniel Harp, Corey Simpson, Timmy Simpson, Jeran Ward and Tim Whitehurst.

Honorary pallbearers are James Johnson and Ray Simpson.

Funeral services were held at Roller-Crouch Chapel in Melbourne with Bro. Bruce Qualls officiating.

Burial followed the services at Barren Fork Cemetery in Mount Pleasant under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
