Ednas Marie Rhodes Reynolds, daughter of the late John Franklin Rhodes and Florence Clark Rhodes, was born October 27, 1921 in Jumbo, Arkansas. She departed this life November 20, 2012 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 91 years and 24 days. She was united in marriage to Delbert Reynolds and to this union four children were born. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. During her working years, she was employed by Batesville Manufacturing Company and Baxter Lab in Mountain Home. She retired from Baxter Lab after 20 years of employement. She was a member of Belview Baptist Church in Melbourne.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Wade and Ona Reynolds of Cave City; three daughters and one son-in-law; Wilma Jean Rawlings of Cave City, Joyce Ann King and the late David Mitchell King of Bethesda and Linda and Pete Edwards of Melbourne, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; Carol Rogers, Randy Reynolds, Crystal McMichael, Debra Jennings, Shayne Edwards, Jason King, David Eric King and Karinda Teague; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a special life long friend; Erma Ray Moore and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; and one sister, Edith Strout.
Funeral service was Friday, November 23, at 2 p.m. at Belview Baptist Church with Doyne Robertson and Jess Sumerall officating. Burial was at Melbourne Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation was Thursday, November 22, from 5:30 - 7 p.m.
Pallbearers were: Shayne Edwards, Jason King, David Eric King, Randy Reynolds, Christopher Reynolds, Nathan Jennings, David Allen Jennings.
