Flossie Newcomb Qualls Herst, 80, of Mtn. View entered into rest on May 23, 2009 in Mtn. View.

Flossie was born April 6, 1929 in Fifty Six, Arkansas to Reva N. Newcomb and Pearl Weasel Newcomb.

Mrs. Herst was of the Baptist faith. She worked many years as a clerk in the accounting department of the Mountain View Hospital, later the Stone County Medical Center. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, James ‘Red’ Herst; two sons, Eddie Qualls of Lady Lake, Florida and Dan Qualls of Bartlett, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Julie Qualls and Jessica Gaillard both of Bartlett, Tennessee and one great-grandchild, Jace Fulton of Bartlett, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband, Jessie Qualls.

Visitation is 5 – 7 p.m., Monday, May 25, 2009 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View.

Funeral service is 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Roller Crouch Chapel with Bro. Afton Treat and Bro. Phil Sutton officiating with interment in Fifty Six Cemetery, Fifty Six, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Ben Gaillard, Gary Williams, Rodger Stone, Randy Killian, Don Keys and Earl Ray Shanks. Honorary pallbearers are Henry Fedd and Junior George.
