Wilma Elizabeth “Marie” James, 85 of Conway, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Marie was born March 16, 1927 in Sanford, FL to the late Brewton and Luvenia (Milam) Miller. She is also preceded in death by husband Les James, daughter Lynda Hobbs Thompson, sister Dorethy Louise Puryear, brothers Simeon Riley Miller and Jesse Brewton Miller, first husband Glen Allen Hobbs, and stepson Phillip James. Marie was of the Baptist faith. She was proud to say she had traveled the entire US and Canada by car, visiting many special places. She is survived by daughter Teresa Glyn Hobbs Richerson of Fairfax, VA and Beverly James Shiell of Lewiston, ID; son Larry Thompson; grandchildren Vicki Thompson Burgess and Renee Thompson Burney of Conway, Melissa Wesley Wenger of Alexandria, VA, Wesley Thompson of Bryant, AR, and Jessica Thompson Hauser of VA Beach, VA; great grandchildren Alyssa Burgess Kopp of Minot, ND, Zach & Samantha Wenger of Alexandria, VA, Jonah, Porter, Marjorie & Tabitha Burney of Conway, Gage, Aly, & Addison Thompson of Bryant, Claire & Evan Hauser and Willow Booker of VA Beach, VA.
