Funeral services for Oscar Junior Hall will be held on January 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., in the Sidon Baptist Church, Sidon, Arkansas, with burial following in the Sidon Cemetery, Sidon, Arkansas. Oscar died Sunday, January 17, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 87

Oscar Junior Hall was born June 24, 1922 in Oaks, Oklahoma, the son of Larkin L. and Iva L. (Wilson) Hall. Oscar served in the Air Force from 1942 to 1946 with the rank of Sergeant. He owned a country store in Sidon, Arkansas and was Postmaster in Quincy, Washington for many years. He moved to Carson City, Nevada in 1993 to live near family. In 2005 he moved to Mustang, Oklahoma. Oscar was a member of the Masons in Sweet Home, Oregon. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Mustang, OK. He built two custom homes and volunteered for the Governors office of community service in Nevada. He was a great student of the Bible. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 59 years, Ava Lorene Hall. Oscar is survived by one daughter: Peggy Hall of Yukon, Ok; three sons & daughters-in-law: Glen & Marilyn Sawyer of Sweet Home, Oregon, Roger & Paula Sawyer of Loon Lake, Oregon, Rick & Janice Hall of Walla Walla, Washington; seven grandchildren: Greg Sawyer, Paula Sawyer, Steen Sawyer, Cameron Sawyer, Brian Hall, Darcy Hall, and Austin Derry; six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 22, 2010 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Powell Funeral Home, Searcy, Arkansas.
