Eugene Lawrence Shrout the son of John and Mildred (Murry) Shrout was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma on August 31, 1931 and passed away at his home in Mountain View, Arkansas on February 7, 2013 at the age of 81 years.
A retired Post Office Employee. Eugene Shrout also was a Post Commander of Alfred O. Quesseth, Chapter 305, Military Order of the Purple Heart. He was a Korean War Veteran of the United States Army. While stationed in Korea, he received a Purple Heart for injuries he received and also was taken Prisoner of War for a short period. He enjoyed woodworking, reading and a photographer who loved taking pictures.
Survivors include his loving wife, Dorene Harper Shrout of Mountain View; two sons, Michael D. Shrout and Gary D. Shrout; three daughters, Patricia Jacques, Dora Jean Shrout Martinez and Leah Raleigh.
