Funeral services for Pearl Nettie Southard, 88, of Mt. Home will be at 2PM Saturday at the Galatia Assmebly of God Church near Norfork with the Rev. Lyndale Haberson officiating. Burial will be in the Galatia Cemetery. Mrs. Southad died Wednesday at her home.
Visitation will be from 8AM to 9PM today at Roller Funeral Home.
Survivors include three sons, Howard Soutard of Atlanta, GA, Clifton Southard of Kansas City, MO and Hugh Southard of Upland, CA; four daughters, Clara Perry of Mt. Home, Opal Gorrell of Wichita, KS, Nola Edens of Pomona, CA and Betty Peters of Forrest City, AR; on brother Rudolph Parnell of Norfork; 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Southard was born April 25, 1894, at Hermitage, MO and had lived in Baxter County most of her life. On April 27, 1917, she married Thomas M. Southard at Norfork. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Mt. Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Solomon and Elizabeth Robinson Parnell; her husband; one daughter; nine brothers; and one sister.
