January 5, 1886 - August 13, 1973
Tom LaRue, 87 years old, Route 2 Mountainburg, Arkansas died Monday night, August 13, 1973 in a local hospital.
A native of Chester, Arkansas he was born June 5, 1886, the son of Columbus and Maggie Trentham LaRue and was a retired farmer. His wife Hattie LaRue died March 5, 1972. He was a member of the Gregory Chapel Church of Christ.
Survivors are three sons, (his son Elmer LaRue died October 14, 2000); four daughters Mrs. Atwell, Mrs. Majors, Grace, and Virgie; a sister, Lula; 20 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Gregory Chapel. Jess Osburn and Roy Osburn were the officiating ministers. Burial in Morrison Cemetery was by Ocker Funeral Home.
