Dr. W. R. Hayden
Dr. Wm. Ransom Hayden was born in Mississippi about 65 years ago. When but 12 years of age he came to Arkansas with a parent, who soon died, leaving him an orphan. He lived in Baxter County a few years, later moving to Stone County, where he lived several years. Some 15 years ago he located at Mt. Olive, where he has since resided. He was married when quite young to Miss Rebecca Jeffery, who survives and to this union was born ten children.Those surviving are Mrs Jennie Mayo of Dewar, Okla., Mrs E. T. Estes of Calico Rock, Robt. Hayden of Ordway, Colo., and Oscar, Jesse and Walter Hayden of near Boswell and Stanford and Hale of Mt Olive. Deceased was one of the best citizens of this section, being a follower of Christian principles since youth and was held in high regard and esteem by all. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. D. R. Robertson Sunday afternoon, after the Woodmen of the world took charge and held services at the grave, burial taking place in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in the presence of a large congregation of sorrowing friends and relatives.
