LOWELL — Billy Ray Ames, age 84, of Lowell, died July 23, 2010, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale. He was born Oct. 10, 1925, in Eureka Springs, Ark., the son of Charles Fred and Rena Hill Ames.

He was of the Baptist faith and attended Elmdale Baptist Church. Mt Ames was retired from furniture sales and at one time owned a car wash. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1943 until 1946. He enjoyed his grandkids, fishing and hunting and spending time with his family.

Mr. Ames is survived by his wife of 64 years, Louise Stout Ames; two sons, Phillip Ames and Cheryl of Rogers and Stephen Ames and Tammy of Springdale; one daughter: Carolyn Morris and Gary of Springdale; four brothers: Leroy Ames and Jimmy Ames both of Springdale, Raymond Ames of Eureka Springs, and Ted Ames of West Richland, Wash.; two sisters: Mary Ann Lee of Springdale and Reva June Leisure of Bentonville; six grandchildren 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Memorial Funeral Chapel on Monday, July 26, 2010, at 10:00 o'clock with Rev. Tom Shaw and Gary Morris officiating, with burial following in Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 2:00 o'clock until 4:00 o'clock at Memorial Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72764. SPRINGDALE — Louise Ames, age 83, of Springdale, passed away on July 7, 2013, at the Maples at Har-Ber Meadows in Springdale. She was born Nov. 28, 1929, in Chandler, Ariz., the daughter of Sylvester and Lillie Skelton Stout. She was a member of Elmdale Baptist Church, had worked at Welch's Grape Factory and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting and being with her family.

She was preceded by her husband, Billy Ames in 2010; one great-granddaughter; four brothers; and one sister.

Mrs. Ames is survived by two sons, Phillip Ames and his wife, Cheryl, of Little Flock and Stephen Ames and his wife, Tammy, of Springdale; one daughter, Carolyn Morris and her husband, Gary, of Springdale; one sister, Jearline Baker of Springdale; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Gary Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Michael Ames, Jason Ames, Marcus Ames, Seth Ames, Garrick Mueller and Carroll Douthit.
