O'BRYANT, J.H. - Rev. J.H. O'Bryant, a former well-known pastor of the M.E. Church, South of Rogers, died Sunday at his home at Earle, this state, of heart trouble and the body was brought to Rogers Tuesday morning for burial beside the grave of a daughter who died during his pastorate here. Funeral services were held at the Central M.E. church in Rogers Tuesday morning at 10:30, conducted by Rev. J.J. Galloway of Arkadelphia; assisted by Rev. Fred Lark of Van Buren, Rev. Ira Brumley of Springdale and the Rogers pastor, Rev. J. Wilson Crichlow. The entire official board of the Central M.E. church was at the train to meet the funeral party, as were also a large number of the former members of the congregation of the deceased minister, one of the most popular pastors the local church has ever known, not only among his own denomination but in the city as well. Rev. O'Bryant is survived by his wife and four children - one son, W.E. O'Bryant of Hoxie, and three daughters - Mrs. Kyle Fraser, Springdale, Mrs. Craig, wife of Rev. R.B. Craig of Tuckerman, and Miss Eunice O'Bryant of Earle. The deceased was 54 years old and had been preaching in Arkansas for more than 30 years. He was a native of Mississippi.
