Marie Holleman Turner, of Rose Bud, Arkansas, died Sunday, August 28, 2011. She married the late James “Pete” Turner July 1, 1933. They had a son, James Donald Turner who preceded her in death. She was the daughter of the late Rev. James Monroe and Myrtle McIntire Holleman and a member of the Mt. Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Rose Bud. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James and Doyne Holleman; two sisters, Elizabeth Holleman and Louise Pratt.

She is survived by a sister, Juanita DuPriest of Malvern, Arkansas; a brother-in-law, Dale Pratt of Rose Bud, Arkansas; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Dale Pratt, Dr. Daniel Pace, and Byrd Haven Nursing Home. Pallbearers will be nephews, Tim Holleman, Jeff Holleman, Justin Holleman, Charles Pratt, Tom Pratt and Tony Pratt. Rev. Roger Bomar and Rev. Melvin Moon will officiate the funeral service.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Mt. Bethel Freewill Baptist Church on Hwy. 36 near Rose Bud. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. following the visitation with interment at Mt. Bethel Cemetery. The family of Marie Turner would like to express sincere thanks for all the prayers and kindness shown her during this time.
