Bert Parker of Calico Rock, son of the late Tom and Katy Parker, was born March 20, 1937, in Scotts City, Missouri. He died on March 17, 2002, in Calico Rock. He was 64.
Mr. Parker was united in marriage to Georgia Ritter in August of 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri. He spent most of his working years as an auto mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia Parker of the home; six sons and five daughters-in-law, Bert Troy and Debbie Parker of Smithton, Missouri, Charley and Brenda Parker of Calico Rock, Robert and Judy Parker of Calico Rock, Wayne and Angie Cunningham of Mt. Home, Ed and Barbara Cunningham of Mt. Home, Jerry Cunningham of Lead Hill; one daughter and son-in-law, Katy and Mark Page of Gassville; four brothers, Gilbert Parker of Gallatin, Missouri, Bill Parker of Gallatin, Missouri, Jack Parker of Gallatin, Missouri and Sam Parker of Thompson, California; three sisters, Ellen Ault of Independence, Missouri, Alta McQueen of Raytown, Missouri, and Wilma Royster of Long Beach, California; fourteen grandchildren, Mandy Cunningham, Jenniffer Cunningham, Jared Cunningham, Justin Cunningham, Eddie Coy Cunningham, Tasha Cunningham, Mitchell Cunningham, Lance Cunningham, Logan Cunningham, Heather Parker, Levi Parker, Monica Page, Brandy Parker and Rosanna Parker; and a host of other firends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and tree brothers, Wilbert, Jess and Raymond Parker.
Funeral services were held March 21, 2002, at Glade Rock Chapel. Pallbearers were Kenny Parker, John Parker, Buster Parker, Shawn Parker, Jeff Huggens, and Donathan Speak. Honorary pallbearers were Nathaniel Speak and Dlebert Clark.
Interment was at Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
