Estell Elizabeth Covington, 89, of Searcy Arkansas went to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 21, 2010. She was born August 28, 1920 in Pangburn to the late Dewitt and Martha Neighbours. Being a lifetime resident of Searcy, Estell babysat and cared for many children many still calling her "Granny" today. She married her love of over forty years, Edward Covington on March 13, 1940 and they raised eight children. She always had lots of hugs and something good cooking and would welcome anyone to her home.
She loved working with her cows and gardening. She was loved by her husband, children, family and friends and will be missed and forever dearly held in their hearts.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward Eugene Covington and two sons, Junior Earl Covington and Marlon Covington; three grandchildren, Angela, Audra and Jay.

She is survived by three sons, Eddie Ray Covington (Judy), Kenneth Covington (Carolyn) and Lynn Covington (Pat) all of Searcy; three daughters, Willie Staggs (Jake), Erma Huntsman (Jerry) and Billie Ghent ( Howard) all of Searcy; one brother, Melton Neighbors of Conway; twenty-seven Grandchildren, forty-eight great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She is also survived by many other relatives and a host of friends, all who loved and will truly miss her.

Visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in the chapel of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.

Interment will follow the service at Foster's Chapel Cemetery in Searcy.
