Edith Long Harris, 88, of Newnata, Arkansas passed away May 22, 2013 in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born on January 15, 1925 in Big Springs, AR. to Lewis and Gertrude (Gower) Long. She was a member of the EHC Club and Timbo Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by one sister, Onvia Walker of Wake Forest, NC.; nieces and nephews, Linda (Mack) Mealer, Connie Martin, Ronald Long, Lisa (Presley) Galloway, Larry Avey, Debra(Chris) Elder, and Sheila Burns.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Gertrude (Gower) Long; husbands, Harmon Farris, Robert Anderson, and Gus Harris; brothers, Charles and Raymon Long; sisters, Evie Jean Avey, Gennie Lee Haney, and Opal Long.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2013, from 6-8PM at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Services will take place on Friday, May 24, 2013, 11:00AM at Timbo Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Timbo, Arkansas. Brother Junior Barham and Don Long are officiating. Interment will take place at Big Springs Cemetery in Newnata, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Mack Mealer, Presley Galloway, Ronald Long, Larry Avey, Bobby Joe Gower, and Bobby Barham.
