Larry J. Davis, 64, of Oklahoma City formerly of Mountain View entered into rest on October 10, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

He was born to Earl and Evelyn Davis in Reverie, Tipton County, Tennessee on January 2, 1947.

He worked for 28 years as a floor installer before moving to Mountain View in 1997. He was a member of Nodena Baptist Church in Nodena, Arkansas.

He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He served in the U.S. Army for two years; one year in Vietnam (1970-1971).

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Evelyn Davis and a sister, Helen Marie Hamilton.

He is survived by his son, Larry Len Davis and wife Kelli of Norman, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Brett Allen Davis and Hunter Davis both of Norman Oklahoma and one granddaughter, Alexis Chambers also of Norman; one sister, Alfreda Brown and husband Stephen of Mountain View, two nephews and one niece and host of loving relatives and friends.

Funeral service is 2 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2011 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View with Bro. Bryan Wilkie officiating and interment in Big Springs Cemetery, Newnata, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Larry Len Davis, Stephen T. Davis, David Brown, David Carter, Bobby Nichols and Kenneth Pannell.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home, Mtn. View is in charge of the arrangements.
