Wife of A J Shockley
Mrs. A.J. Shockley. Her name may have been spelled Schockley on headstone. Her husband died shortly after arriving from the Prison of War march from Indianapolis with Sherman's army (US Civil War). She was never able to prove Andrew's veteran status to receive widow's pension because Sherman's army burned all records.
She may have told the stonecutter her name and never had the spelling corrected. She raised four children alone after her husband died of exposure
