Minnie Lou Davis, 75, of Searcy, Arkansas was born to Arizona Houston and Susie (Curl) Deaton. She left this world Wednesday, November 24, 2010.
She loved going camping and fishing with her family, who were her whole life. She also loved working in her yard and with her flowers, but most of all, she was a hard worker even to the day God called her home. She loved her grandchildren dearly, and they will miss her deeply. She was a wife, mother, granny, sister, aunt, and friend. She leaves a void in our lives, but we are thankful for the time we shared with her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Davis, her parents, Arizona H. Deaton and Susie Deaton, and her brothers, Houston Deaton and Billy Wayne Deaton.
Lou is survived by her two daughters, Susan Flowers and Beverly Barnett (David), one son, Harry Brooks (Judy); one sister, Anna Mae Sterling (Steve Sr.); seven beloved grandchildren, Dusty Betts and Jeremy Flowers, Jason Barnett and Brandon Barnett, Laura Nichols, Julie Lambert, and Houston Brooks; four great grandchildren, Damon Betts, Slade Betts, and Chase Betts, and Kyndall Lambert; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, November 26 from 6-8 PM at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday in the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in Sidon Cemetery under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
