{from The Ft. Smith Times Record} Dr. Edgar L. Lindsey, well known young physician of Fort Smith, died at his home, 722 North Eighteenth street, at 3 o'clock Saturday morning. Dr. Lindsey suffered an attack of influenza which developed into pneumonia. Dr. Lindsey was born in Baxter county, Arkansas and had been in Fort Smith seven years, coming here from Bentonville where his parents reside. Soon after moving to this city he was married to Miss Mabel Vann. He volunteered for service with the American army soon after this country entered the recent war and was sent to the medical camp at Fort Riley where he won a commission as first lieutenant. ***** The body passed thru Rogers Monday morning on the way to Bentonville where the funeral was held that day. Dr. Lindsey was a member of the Fort Smith Rotary Club and several Rogers friends and members of the local Rotary Club met the funeral party at the train and accompanied it to Bentonville. Both the wife of the deceased and his mother, Mrs. J.H. Lindsey of Bentonville, are quite ill at Ft. Smith and were unable to attend the funeral. Mrs. W.L. Pickens of Bentonville is a sister of Dr. Lindsey.
