HULBROK, Lena DICKMAN - Mrs. August Hulbrok died at the family home on South Main Street, Bentonville, on Monday, October 27th, 1924 in her 68th year after a lingering illness. She is survived by her husband and two children, Paul of Springfield, Mo. and Mrs. Fred M. Phinney of Bentonville. The entire family were with her at the time of her death. The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 and were conducted by Dr. Harry R. McKeen, her former pastor and family friend, assisted by Rev. W.C. Wheat and Rev. A.M. Henderson. The services at the grave were conducted by the Rebeccas, of which Lodge she had been an active member for many years. Mrs. Hulbrok's maiden name was Lena Dickman. She was born in Horn, in the Province of Dedmold, Germany and came to America in 1884. A year later she married August Hulbrok at Sommerville, Ind. Later they moved to Bentonville. She confessed Christ and joined the United Brethren church at the age of 14. On coming to Bentonville she affiliated with the Cumberland Presbyterian church. She was a devoted wife, mother, friend, church and lodge member, cheerful in disposition, earnest and sincere in her friendships and devoted to her home. She will live in the lives of those fortunate to have known her intimately in family circle, lodge room and church society.
