WINSLOW — Bardy 0. Hammond, 70, of Winslow died March 11, 2008, at his home. He was born March 26, 1937, in Monroe, La., to Ardis and Myrtle Tate Hammond.

He was a retired tree trimmer working for Trees Inc. in Texas for more than 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys.

Survivors include one son, Richard Tatum of Harper, Texas; two daughters, Peggy Brown of Dayton, Texas, and Anna Hammond of Winslow; two brothers, Huey Hammond and Collins Hammond, both of Louisiana; two sisters, Silvia Lady of Oklahoma and Juanita Hopkins of Louisiana; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery at Winslow.

WINSLOW — Gladys Hammond, 63, of Winslow died Feb. 10, 2004, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Dec. 24, 1940, in Union City Ind., to John and Gladys Warren Moffitt.

Survivors include her husband, Bardy Hammond of the home; one son, Richard Tatum of Harper, Texas; two daughters, Peggy Brown of Dayton, Texas, and Anna Hansen of Winslow; one brother, Charles Mendenhall of Killeen, Texas; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Winslow.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
