SKILLERN, William A. - {from The Fayetteville Daily, 9th inst.} William A. Skillern died this morning at his home near Son's Chapel of typhoid fever. He was about 35 years of age and was an industrious and exemplary young man. He made a trip to Chicago four weeks ago to look after apples he had in cold storage and it is supposed he contracted the disease while there. There were three brothers and one sister of the immediate family and he was a nephew of Mr. William A. Vernon. The death of this young man with such a promising future is inexpressibly sad.
