Mildred Cottrell, 81, of Dyer died Wednesday, April 4, 2000, in a local hospital.
She retired as a clerk and postmistress of the Dyer post office. She was the widow of Clay Cottrell and a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Smith.
Funeral was Friday in Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Dyer Cemetery in Dyer.
She is survived by one daughter, Gayla Peters of Dyer; one son, Judge Gary Cottrell of Van Buren; one brother, Arthur Penson of California; five grandchildren, Anna Cottrell of Fort Smith, Collin and Alex Cottrell of Van Buren; Keith Millsap of Houston and Terri Cox of Cameron; and two great-grandchildren.
