Lena Eileen (Lamp) Guthery

Lena Eileen Guthery, 89, of Hickoria, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2009, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Lena was a World War II Army veteran, school teacher, homemaker and gardener. She was a member of Smith Chapel General Baptist Church.

On May 10, 1946, she was united in marriage to Jewell Cleatus Guthery. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son Eddie (Vicky) Guthery of Plano, Texas; three daughters Billie Davis of St. Peters, Mo., Mary Ann (Vernon) Groves of Corning and Martha (Mike) Mohr of St. Peters, Mo.; one daughter-in-law, Donna Guthery of O'Fallon, Mo.; one brother, Burkley Lamp of DeSoto, Mo.; one sister Catherine Vail of Corning; 12 grand-children; and 10 great-grand-children.

Servics were held at Ermert Funeral Home. Burial was in Corning Cemetery in Corning.
