Gerald D. Widener 70, of Clinton, Arkansas passed away Monday, January 23, 2012 at his home. He was born March 9, 1941 at Clinton, Arkansas to the late Floyd Newton and Lucy (McKinney) Widener, Sr.

Served in the U.S. Navy, member of the Patterson Masonic Lodge, of the Baptist faith and a member and deacon at Plant Baptist Church, avid outdoorsman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Betty Patton and Lois Kehoe, brother, Floyd Widener, Jr., step-dad, Andrew Tylka.

He is survived by his wife Sue of 45 years, sons, Tim and Debbie Widener, Shane Widener, and Kevin and Miranda Widener, grandsons, Jared, Sean, Zac, Zeb and Zane, all of Clinton, AR; sister, Peggy Prout of Greenbrier, AR; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers: Danny Simmons, Eddie Prout, Charles Prout, Philip Bonds, Richard Bonds, and Todd Batchelor.

Honorary Pallbearers: Tommy Simmons, Joe Newman, Seth Merritt, Jr., and Brian Stoltzfus.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm Wednesday, January 25, 2012 and Funeral Service will be 10:00am Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas with Bro. David Williams and Pat Batchelor officiating.

Burial will follow with U.S. Navy Military Honors at Lexington Cemetery.

Funeral Arrangements are under the care and direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, Arkansas.
