Ray Flanagan, 81, of Mountainburg died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 5, 1927, in Dyer to the late Ivery and Minnie Patillo Flanagan. He was a member of Gregory Chapel Church of Christ, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a retired broiler farmer, a retired furniture company employee and cabinet maker.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at Ocker Chapel of Alma with burial at Dyer Cemetery in Dyer under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Flanagan of Mountainburg; one daughter, Amanda Wolfgram of Mountainburg; one stepdaughter, Sandra Strickland of Mountainburg; one sister, Juanita Jones of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Travis Tester of Pensacola, Fla., and Teresa Tester of Chester; and two stepgrandchildren, Russell Gregory and Leslie Strickland of Mountainburg.
