Corgel Cordilia Acklin, 68, of Norfork died last Wednesday at White River Convalescent Home at Calico Rock.
Mrs. Acklin was born May 23, 1911, in Izard County, the daughter of Robert and Easter Faught. She lived at Norfork most of her life. Mrs. Acklin was a member of the Norfork Church of Christ. She was the widow of Chester Acklin.
Survivors include three son, Emmit Dolan Acklin of Norfork; Dennis D. Acklin of Calico Rock and Robert C. Acklin of Irving, TX; four daughters, Norma L. Funkhouser of Norfork, Dorene Lane of Mt. Home, Fredia Smithson of Calico Rock and Rosetta Jones of Wichita, KS; one brother, Virgil Faught of Olathe, KS; four sisters, Mearl Bennett of Mt. Home, Gail Gifford of Huntsville, Loretta Yancy of Dallas, and Zela Sexton of Overland Park, KS; 24 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Services were Saturday at the Norfork Church of Christ with Don Pflaser officiating. Burial was in the Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Krby-Blevin-LaFevers Funeral Directors. Pallbearers were Clifton Sexton, Delman Parnell, Jimmy Whiftield, Dormana Faught, Rick Gifford and Steve Smith.
