Mr. Donald Ray Garris of Dyer(Crawford County), Arkansas, died November 29, 2008, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mr. Garris was 43 years, 5 months, and 27 days old. Mr. Garris worked for Van-Alma Tire Center; and attended Freedom Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Garris was the son of the late Albert Leon Garris.
Mr. Garris was preceded in death by his father; and a brother: Ricky Dale Garris.
He is survived by his wife: Lisa Garris of the home; two daughters: Tori Garris and Chloe Garris, both of the home; a son: Terry Garris, of the home; his beloved mother: Carolyn Garris, of Muldrow, Oklahoma; five sisters: Connie Wood, of Hackett, Arkansas, Cindy Swain, of Cecil, Arkansas, Mary Gray, of Uniontown, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Garris, of Muldrown, Oklahoma, Teresa Garris of Sulfur, Oklahoma; four brothers: Albert Garris Jr, Michael Garris, Alex Garris, and Jacob Harp, all of Muldrow, Oklahoma; numerous nieces/nephews; and many good friends.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at the Freedom Freewill Baptist Church, in Alma, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were: Kevin Winters, William Winters, Daniel Harp, Ted Ryder, and the Employees of Van-Alma Tire Center.
Honorary pallbearers were: James Bell, Burl Hartlow, and John Sanders.
