Jewell
January 7, 1907 - February 25, 2002
Jewell Chitwood, 95, of Dyer died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, in a local nursing home.
He was the caretaker at Dyer Cemetery for 47 years and a retired carpenter and a member of Dyer United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Chitwood.
Funeral was in Dyer United Methodist Church with burial at Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by a daughter, Ruth Coleman of Dyer; a son, John Paul Chitwood of Van Buren; two grandchildren, Donna Kay Small of Kibler and Paul Wayne Coleman of Mountainburg; and two great-granddaughters.
Pallbearers were Todd Small, Paul Wayne Coleman, Ray Jackson, Danny Udouj, Jerry Prescott and David Bender.
