Terrye L. Sutterfield, age 51, of Russellville, died Monday, December 8, 2008 at her home. She was born September 8, 1957 in Greenville, Mississippi. She was a graduate of Russellville High School, was a member of Second Baptist Church. She loved her work with children, and was the Assistant Librarian at Oakland Heights Elementary School.

Survivors include her husband of thirty years, James R. Sutterfield; three daughters and a son-in-law: Leslie N. Sutterfield of Russellville; Ashley D. and Zach Saxon of Jacksonville, North Carolina; and Kristen L. Sutterfield of Russellville; her parents, Willard C. “Dub” and Shirley R. Smith of Russellville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Ricky C. and Lisa Smith of Burke, Virginia; and Jeff K. and Rhonda Smith of London; and a grandson, Logan Saxon of Jacksonville.

The funeral service will be at 10 A.M. on Friday, December 12, 2008 at Second Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Travis McCormick and the Rev. Walter Morris. Burial will be at 1 P.M. at Plant Cemetery near Clinton, by Shinn Funeral Service.

Active pallbearers will be Brandon Bokony, Jason, Jamey and Johnathan Mazurek, Brennan O’Donohoe, Christopher, Jeffery and Ryan Smith and Derrek Morris.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, from 5 to 7 P.M., at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Post Office Box 4527, New York, New York 10163.

The family wants to say a special “thank you” to Pat Harris, her special friend and caregiver, and Saint Mary’s Home Health Care and nurses.
