GENTRY — Karen Arlene Byrnes, 59, of Gentry died
March 19, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born June 21, 1949, in McPherson, Kan., to Elmer Koehn and Ina Nightingale Koehn.
She married Sam Byrnes in Leland, Miss., on Dec. 13, 1981. She moved to the Gentry area in 1985 and was a homemaker.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother and her first husband, Ronnie David Koehn.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, David Alan Koehn and wife Janell of Kenya, Jason Ray Koehn and wife Carrie and Eric Keith Byrnes and wife Jessica, all of Gentry; two daughters Charlene Kay Koehn and husband DeWayne, of the Philippines, and Faith Marie Troyer and husband Trent of Fredericksburg, Ohio; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today at the Gentry Mennonite Church. Burial will follow at the Gentry Mennonite Church Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. Online condolences may be made at www.wassonfuneralhome.com.
