Nicole A. Wable Hatfield, age 74, of Conway, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2004, at Conway Regional Medical Center.

She was born January 10, 1930 in Douai, France to the late Raymond Wable and Francoise Ovigneur Wable.

Mrs. Hatfield was a professor of Foreign Language at the University of Central Arkansas and was a member of Friends of Torreyson Library, Chapter BE P.E.O., Shakespeare Book Club, CRMC Health and Fitness Center, Friday Lunch Bunch, and was a Paul Harris Fellow at Conway Morning Rotary.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gene Hatfield of Conway; a son, Hadrian Hatfield and his wife Helene Hatfield, and their children, Cedric and Loic Hatfield of Rockville, MD; a son, Marc Hatfield and his wife Leigh Hatfield and their children, Harrison, Caroline, and Heath Hatfield of Little Rock; a daughter, Mathilda Hulett and her husband, Jeff Hulett of Conway; two sisters, Denise Broders and her husband, Alain Broders, Sylvie Viseux and her husband, Pierre Viseux; and a brother, Etienne Wable and his wife, Elizabeth Wable, all of France.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Conway on Mitchell and Prince Streets with Vicar Gar Demo and Fr. Charles Thessing officiating.

Interment will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nicole Wable Hatfield International Study Scholarship, UCA Foundation, UCA Box 4986, Conway, AR, 72035, (501-450-5288).
