MELBOURNE; Phillip Louis Bruyette, 62, of Melbourne died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at his home.Born Jan. 20, 1944, in Hartford, Conn., he was the son of Frank and Shirley Mortensen Bruyette.
He was self-employed and repaired mowers and saws. He was a member of Guion Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Fitzsimmons Bruyette; five sons, David Bruyette of Coeur D Alene, Idaho, Robert Bruyette of Brownstown, Mich., and Frank Bruyette, Adam Fitzsimmons and Ben Fitzsimmons, all of Melbourne; four daughters, Sandy Woods and Michelle Spence, both of Melbourne, Judy Walker of Zion and Amanda Fitzsimmons of Cave City; two brothers, Steven Bruyette of Cabot and Matt Bruyette of Melbourne; three sisters, Crystal Broyles and Shirley Pearson, both of Salem, and Dorothy Butts of Missouri; 17 grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Sandra Bruyette.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Melbourne Church of Christ with Mike Downing and Larry Sellers officiating. Burial will be in Combs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.Pallbearers will be Rick Gillaspie, Earnie Balckley, Michael Vest, Greg Vickery, Juan Ramirez and Chris Browning.Honorary pallbearers are Al Pritchard, Tom Marchbanks, Ray Herren, Robert Spence and Ronnie Treat.
