Billie Lee Horn Steele, age 82 of Sidney died Friday, September 9, 2011 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was born May 3, 1929 at Needmore, Arkansas to Ward and Alma Ford Croft. She had worked as a cook at Sidney Nursing Home and enjoyed flowers and gardening. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Evening Shade.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Bly Horn and Thomas Steele and two brothers, Spellman Croft and Henry Croft.
Survivors include one son, Dennie Horn of Sidney, one daughter, Brenda Grimmett of Hardy, three sisters, Bernell Cole and Janta Downing both of Sidney and Sandy Goodman of Batesville, six grandchildren, Joey Reilly, Timmy Reilly, Paul Reilly and Jennifer Oakes all of Hardy, Sam Horn of Sidney and Melonie Koch of Cave City, twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Sunday September 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Evening Shade with Bro. Larry Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Yeager Cemetery in the Needmore Community with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Joey Reilly, Paul Reilly, Timmy Reilly, Sam Horn, Brandon Draper and Joel Koch.
