James Ray Canady 77 of Bee Branch died Friday, August 15, 2008. He was born June 29, 1931 in Bee Branch to the late Joe and Vera Canady.
He was self-employed, a member of South Side Baptist Church and a member of the Quarter Horse Association. He loved horses and dump trucks. He was most proud of his girls and grandchildren.
He is survived by two daughters, Beverly Wallace and her husband H. C. Wallace of Bee Branch and Vanessa Downing and her husband Larry of Longview, Texas, three sisters, Veda Hutchison of Morrilton, Bobbie Sue Nicholson and her husband J. W. Nicholson of Conway and Carolyn Bradford of Morrilton, brother Joe Canady Jr. and his wife JoAnn Canady of Rock Falls, IL, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and his companion, Nettie Faye Hutchison of Bee Branch.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Elmer and Noel Canady and a great granddaughter, Grace Wallace.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Clinton with burial in Bee Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
