September 1, 1946 - December 22, 2007
"We thought of you with love today,
But this is nothing new,
We thought of you yesterday and
the days before that too.
We think of you in silence and
often speak your name.
All we have now are our memories,
and your pictures in a frame.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
but you didn't go alone.
A part of us went with you
the day God took you home."
Melvin Charles Nicholson, 61, of Conway, Arkansas, died Saturday, December 22, 2007 at his home.
He was born September 1, 1946 in Conway a son of the late Melvin Thomas and Velma E. (West) Nicholson. Mr. Nicholson was an avid Blue Grass Musician and a Baptist. He was a United States Army Veteran.
Survivors are a son, Richard Randall Nicholson of Conway; a daughter, Melanie Nicholson; and a grandson, Keith Richard Nicholson both of North Carolina; as well as countless friends and adopted families who loved him.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Vilonia Cemetery with Bro. Roger Pearce officiating, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway. 501-327-7727.
