Elizabeth Veronica Owens, 70, of Conway, went to be with the Lord Friday, January 2, 2015.

She was born January 26, 1944 in Londonderry, Northern Ireland to the late Freddie McGilloway and Sophia (Boyle) McGilloway. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Clifford Owens.

Elizabeth enjoyed bowling, bingo, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very hard worker and a loving mother and grandmother. Elizabeth was known as “Maw” by all who knew and loved her. She was always fun to be around and had a great sense of humor and was loved by all.

Elizabeth is survived by her three daughters, Sandra Westbrook (David), Sylvia Meeks (C.W.), and Maureen Troillet (Mark) all of Conway, sisters, Nellie O'Reilly of Northern Ireland, Bernadett Colville of Northern Ireland and Maureen Martin of Redding, England, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and her niece, Elizabeth “Ann” Pouncil of Londonderry, Northern Ireland, who the family would like to express a special thanks for the loving care of their mother.

Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Wednesday January 7, 2015 with visitation following at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway (501) 327-7727. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. January 8, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Robert Cigainero serving as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Vilonia Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dewayne Lankford, Jonathan Meek, Terry Hensley Scotty Hensley, Jared Troillet, and Grant Troillet.

Billy Ray Brown will be serving as honorary pallbearer.
