Hursel Hubert Owens, 79, of Vilonia, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2005, at the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock.

He was born on February 1, 1926, to the late Hubert Owens and Rebecca (Kirkpatrick) Owens.

He was a farmer, retired from Hendrix College as a security guard, an Army veteran of WWII, and a member of Mars Hill Church of Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Davis of Hammond, LA, Debra Gaddy of Salem, MO, and Melissa Owens of Millington, TN; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, James Owens of Conway; and three sisters, Mary Bishop of Conway, Anna Polca of Clinton, and Betty Hensley of Damascus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Glada F. (Arendall) Owens.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Vilonia Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
