William Sherman McFall, 73, of 930 East 8th St., Mt. Home, died Thursday at Baxter General Hospital. A retired farmer, he was a former resident of the Lone Rock-Advance community in south Baxter County.
Graveside services were held Sunday at the Brunt Schoolhouse Cemetery in Lone Rock, with Rev. James C. Perry officiating. The Roller Funeral Home of Mt. Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Boyce Henderson, J.B. Goins, Dale Love, Russell Rasor, Claude White and Raymond Rasor.
Mr. McFall, the son of the late Harry Thurman McFall and the former Martha Jane Holbrook, was born June 7, 1902, at Pound, VA. He was married to Norma Gaines March 25, 1926, at Advance, and resided in this area most of his life.
Surviving are his wife, at the home; two sons, Henry Thurman McFall of Indianapolis, IN and Robert McFall of Mt. Home; a sister and 10 granchildren. A son, Gordon Sherman McFall, is deceased.

Norma Mae McFall of Mt. Home died Friday (Jan 7, 2000) at Pine Lane Health Care Center. She was 96.
Mrs. McFall was born Sep 2, 1903, to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thomas Gaines at Advance. She married William Shurman McFall on March 25, 1926, at Advance and worked as a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Bob McFall of Mt. Home, Henry McFall of Indianapolis, IN; a host of granchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. McFall was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Thomas and Huldah Elizabeth Gaines; her husband, William Shurman McFall; one son Gordon McFall; two brothers and four sisters.
Services were held Sunday with burial in the Burnt Schoolhouse Cemtery at Lone Rock.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
