Cheryl Leslie Acklin, 12, a seventh grade student at Norfork Junior High School died Thursday at the Marion County Hospital in Yellville. The daughter of Emmit Dolan Acklin and the former Bettie Ruth Reynolds, she was born Sept. 20, 1961, at Wichita, Kans., and was a lifetime resident of this county.
Surviving are her parents of Norfork; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Georgia Reynolds of Madera, Calif.; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Acklin of Norfork; and three sisters, Catherine Ruth Beard of Midway and Carol Ann and Cynthia Jeanette Acklin, both of the home.
The funeral service was conducted Sunday at the Galatia Assembly of God Church with the pastor, Rev. Jack Langston, officiating. Interment was in the Galatia Cemetery under the direction of the Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Marvin Sheryl, Gene Alexander, Gene Adams, Roe Whitfield, Bill Hendrix and Edward Loosey.
