Roland T. Atwell, 93, of Chester, Arkansas died Sunday, March 1, 1998, at a local hospital. He was a retired farmer and Freewill Baptist Minister, having pastored at the 88 and 77 Freewill Baptist churches and other areas in the area.

Survivors include his wife, Winnie; two daughters; two sons; three sisters; three brothers; 12 grandchildren, 23, great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ocker Memorial Chapel. Burial was at Morrison Cemetery near Rudy under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.

Minnie M. Atwell, 89, of Chester, Arkansas died Friday, November 19, 1999, in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker, a member of the 88 Freewill Baptist Church near Rudy, Arkansas, a Pioneer Crawford County family and the widow of the Rev. Roland Atwell. Minnie was born April 14, 1910, in Crawford County, Arkansas. Her parents were Samuel Thomas LaRue and Hattie Coatney LaRue, (both deceased).

Funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial chapel in Van Buren with burial at Morrison Cemetery near Rudy.

She is survived by two daughters, two sons, one sister, one brothers, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
