CUSHMAN — Ray Story, 95, of Cushman died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012.

Born Oct. 6, 1916, in Cushman, he was the son of Vaud Vernon Story and Emily Estella "Stella" Tate Story. He was a farmer and raised cattle. He enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Vernon Story and Carl Story, both of Cushman; three daughters, Bonnie Jeffery, Pat Kelley and Emily Clark, all of Cushman; 14 grandchildren, Connie Jeffery, Phyllis Brown, Sheila Reschke, Patty Mellor, Kristi Lock, Hayley Murphree, Denise Townsend, Amanda Kelley, Steven Story, Jonathan Story, Zachary Clark, Megan Clark, Tonya Story and Ryan Story; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Letha Duncan Story; a brother, Reed Tate Story; and a daughter, Kathy Neal.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cushman Assembly of God with Carl Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Steven Story, Jonathan Story, Zachary Clark, Ryan Story, Howie Townsend and Anthony Mellor.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville.
