Robert Eugene “Pa” Ussery, 81, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at home surrounded by his family December 15, 2012. Bob was born on March 13, 1931 to Edward Eugene and Reuline (Clark) Ussery at Mt. Vernon. Bob was a farmer, rancher and an avid hunter.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life for 59 years, Lucille Hill Ussery, daughter Shelia Ann Brantley, infant son Roger Dale Ussery and a grandson, Donald Ussery Jr.
Survivors include two sons Donnie (Bonnie) Ussery of Mt. Vernon and Ron (Beverly) Ussery of Enola, his daughter Sherry (Jimmy) Miller of Conway; 11 grandchildren Deonn (Chad) Spears, Randy (Nicole) Ussery of Conway, Robby (Shannen) Ussery of Conway, Ricky (Lynn) Ussery of Vilonia, Zane and Scott Ussery of Enola, Justin (Grace) Miller of Vilonia, Jayme (Michael) Dixon of Conway, Jennifer (Shawn) Winberry of Mt. Vernon, Chris Brantley of Mt. Vernon, and Jessica (Nathan) Church of Jerusalem; 16 great-grandchildren Makayla Shelton, Ashlyn Church, Cameron Church, Karly Winberry, Kaden Winberry, Courtney Winberry, Alivia Brantley, Maggie Ussery, Lucy Ussery, Owen Ussery, Cooper Fowlkes, Abie Fowlkes, Zach Dixon, Jayden Dixon, Austin Miller and Emma Miller; a sister in law Beth (Wayne) Mitchell of Vilonia, brother in law Don (Becky) Hill of Conway, special friend Johnnie Socia of Conway and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to express thanks and appreciation to Baptist Hospice, for their loving care of our Daddy.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM on Wednesday December 19, 2012 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home (801 8th Ave) in Conway with Mike Ball officiating. Pa’s grandsons, Robby, Ricky, Randy, Scott and Zane Ussery, Justin Miller and Chad Spears will be serving as pallbearers and his great-grandsons Zach Dixon, Austin Miller, Cooper Fowlkes, Cameron Church, Kaden Winberry and Owen Ussery will be serving as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
